Overview
LIOM Proyectos is an architectural and construction firm based in Hermosillo, Sonora, specializing in project design, development, and architectural planning. They reached out to us for logo and branding design services, seeking a visual identity that would not only represent their services but also reflect their energetic and creative personality.
Our approach
The logo and branding for this firm needed to look strong and professional while also communicating their services in a modern and attractive way. We explored classic architectural and construction elements that inspired several logo concepts and icon proposals, including blueprints, geometric shapes, angles, and three-dimensional models.
For the color palette, we researched branding within the architecture, engineering, and construction industries, selecting a dark blue that aligns well with these sectors and pairing it with a bright burnt orange that reflects the energy and optimism of LIOM’s owners. To balance the logo’s bold icon and vibrant colors, we chose a sans-serif typeface and kept the firm’s name in all caps to echo the icon’s clean lines.
The result
Among the proposals we presented, this was the design the client loved: a clean, colorful logo in which the vibrant color and strong foundation of the L-shaped icon contrast with the understated elegance of the typography.
